Have you ever dreamed of combining your love for food, art and Disney in one place? If so, you'll be delighted to experience the Epcot International Festival of the Arts at Walt Disney World. Although it began just three years ago, this event has become an integral part of Disney culture. It's essentially a celebration of creativity, with a focus on culinary, visual and scenic art. You can explore the festival at your own pace and enjoy all the world-class attractions at this Disney theme park.
The galleries are full of the most original and breathtakingly beautiful works of art. If you were anything like me as a child, you must have idolized these artists, as they are also the creators of your favorite characters. Art comes in various forms and forms. And one of them is the great voices of Broadway actors and their musical performances. They're Disney songs like you've never heard before.
Now, I don't know about you, but my heart as a little Disney fan jumps and screams at the thought of all this. If you thought this was all that needed to be done, you are very wrong. There are also numerous activities that are free with your ticket to the Epcot Festival. While some of your favorite treats and experiences may be there, you'll notice some changes when you travel to the Epcot Festival of the Arts. Let's review some of the best strategies for experiencing this annual Epcot festival.
Even though Park Hopping is back, you'll need to make a reservation for your day at Epcot. You can read how this new Disney reservation system works here. Epcot's regular schedule has returned and is now open starting at 11 a.m. Your park pass will allow you to enter and exit the park as many times as you want throughout the day. Although character encounters were postponed due to the pandemic, you can now meet some of your favorite Disney characters at World Showcase.
Since the creation of this Epcot festival, Disney has previously offered a variety of seminars and classes to help you bring out your creative side. This year, many of those offers are postponed. However, you can participate in other events, such as the animation class. This arts festival is different from other Epcot festivals in many ways. The food at this art festival is something you have to experience.
Just reading about it won't be enough. However, I will do my best to describe the indescribably delicious flavors, smells and sights of what is probably the best food festival in the entire world. This is exactly what it looks like: lots of stalls and a surprising amount of adventurous foods to try. To be fair, the food is exceptionally delicious and they're not stingy with quantity, so I'd say it's worth it. The Marketplace stands will be open starting at 11 in the morning every day and literally there is a food festival.
In addition to being absolutely delicious, the food is also extremely aesthetically pleasing - and you know what that means: posting every dish you buy on Instagram! They are regaining the position of Pop Eats, which was a great success before the pandemic, as well as a wide range of cuisines from different countries, including Japan, France and Italy. At the Epcot Festival of the Arts, you can enjoy classic Disney tunes sung by Broadway's most famous actors right here in Central Florida: Kara Lindsay (Newsies) and Kevin Massey (Tarzan), Arielle Jacobs (Aladdin) and Adam Jacobs (Aladdin), Patti Murin (Frozen) and Robert Creighton (The Little Mermaid), Mandy Gonzalez (Aida) and L. Steven Taylor (The Lion King), Ashley Brown (Mary Poppins) and Michael James Scott (Aladdin), Kissy Simmons (The Lion King) and Josh Strickland (Tarzan). While enjoying these incredible performances, be sure to visit some of the galleries, murals and photo sessions that will take place this year. The artists you'll see are literally Disney World's Créme de la Créme and you can chat with them - this is definitely something you don't want to miss! Let's review more festival activities you can enjoy while you're at the Epcot Festival of the Arts. In addition to the usual sweatshirts and t-shirts, Disney has new products including wall art, paintings, toys and bags - my personal favorite is the new Figment-inspired long-sleeved shirt with the name “make a masterpiece today” printed on the back. Now that we have the basics under our belt, let's review some of my favorite tips for maximizing your enjoyment: going Monday through Friday will give you time to relax and enjoy the festival without having to constantly work your way through crowds; The new Remy Ratatouille Adventure attraction and fireworks show will also be available at Epcot during the festival; look for PhotoPass photographers in the theme park and ask them for magical photos and special accessories so you can have unique memories of your stay at the festival; perhaps dedicate one day to all Food Studio stands at the festival and another day to focus on attractions and seminars; beer and wine samples are served at approximately 3 ounces for wine and 6 ounces for beer or cocktails; prioritize and plan your day before entering Epcot. Attending this Arts Festival is a total sensory overload - it helps to follow an organized plan of action thanks to planning everything right now! Just remember that if you can't see or do everything - there's always next year!.
